What is the scholarship deadline?
Applications must be postmarked by March 1 each year.
Do I have to be majoring in the cleaning industry?
Who is eligible to apply?
Employees of ISSA member companies and their family members (spouses, children and grandchildren).
When will I find out if I won an award?
Applicants are notified via U.S. mail either way in mid-June.
If I win, can the check be made payable to me, the student?
No. Checks are sent directly to the college or university.
Are my step-children eligible to apply?
I am a graduate student, am I eligible to apply?
I graduated last year, can I use the scholarship to pay off loans?
Can I use the scholarship for laptops or room and board?
No, the scholarships are for books and tuition only.
Does the application need to be handwritten, or can it be typed out?
Either one will be accepted.
Can I print an unofficial transcript from online?
No. The transcript needs to be an official copy from the college or university.
I can’t get a copy of my ACT or SAT scores from the College Board, is a printed copy ok?
Do I need to submit test scores if I am already in college?
I am not sure what school I will be attending, I have applied at several, should I just write undecided?
Please list a couple schools you are considering.
My classes are large and I don’t feel comfortable have my professor evaluate me, can I have my counselor complete the form instead?
Yes. Evaluations will be accepted from professors, counselors, coaches, pastors, and work supervisors.
